• Be sure to know where your main water shut off is in your home in case of an emergency. (located next to the meter if you have one)

• Check to make sure the valve is operational and not leaking. This could save you alot of trouble if a pipe were to break and your water have to be shut off.

• It is also a good idea to familarize yourself with the shut offs under the sinks and behind the toilets located throughout your home.

Don’t forget to protect you hose faucets for the winter.

If you have a frostproof faucet all thats necessary is to disconnect the hose so the faucet can drain out.

If you have a non frostproof faucet you must follow these steps:  

1. Turn off inside valve feeding outside faucet
2. Open outside faucet
3. Open small bleeder cap on inside valve to drain water (hint; have small bucket to catch water)
